    Greensboro College’s Staci Humphrey dropped in a team-high 17 points as the senior women from the USA South Athletic Conference defeated their counterparts from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), 84-77, in the second annual ODAC/USA South Senior Challenge.

    Hot off the heels of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship, basketball will again be at the forefront in the Roanoke area as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the USA South Athletic Conference team for the second annual ODAC-USA South Men and Women's Basketball Senior Challenge.
  • ODAC Represented by Four Schools in NCAA’s

    Four schools from Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men and women’s basketball will take their games to the next level. Hampden-Sydney College, the champion of the ODAC men’s tournament this past weekend, will be joined by Virginia Wesleyan College and Guilford College in the men’s 59-team bracket. Randolph-Macon College is the lone ODAC women’s squad in the 63-team field following its championship on Sunday afternoon.
  • Randolph-Macon Wins Third Straight Women’s Title

    Randolph-Macon College became just the second school in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women’s basketball history to win three straight conference titles on Sunday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets defeated Virginia Wesleyan College 76-65, marking the first RMC victory in its three meetings with the Marlins in league tournament championship games.

    Roanoke College junior forward Erin Hanson and Eastern Mennonite University head coach Kevin Griffin headlined the 2007 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women’s basketball postseason honors, winning the league’s player and coach of the year awards. Randolph-Macon center Molly Ariail was recognized as the conference’s top rookie while Lynchburg senior post Caroline Wesley won the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award. Randolph College, founded as Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, was tabbed with the conference team sportsmanship award.
  • VWC, RMC Secure ODAC Basketball Top Seeds

    The seeds are set for the 2007 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) postseason tournament. Virginia Wesleyan College, last season’s NCAA Division III national champion, and Randolph-Macon College will enter the Men's and Women's ODAC Basketball Championships as the #1 seeds, respectively. The Marlins (22-3, 17-1) go in search of their third straight ODAC men's crown while the Yellow Jackets (21-4, 18-2) are looking to make it three straight tourney titles through the women's bracket.

    Randolph-Macon College head coach Carroll LaHaye became the 21 st coach in Division III Women’s Basketball History to record 400 wins as her Yellow Jackets upended the WildCats of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College 63-33 Saturday afternoon in Lynchburg , Virginia .
  • Yellow Jackets to Retire Silva's Number 11 Jersey

    Randolph-Macon College announced Tuesday the school’s plans to retire former women’s basketball standout Megan Silva’s number 11 Friday, February 16, prior to the Yellow Jackets game against Lynchburg College. The ceremony is slated to take place before the 7:00 p.m. scheduled tip-off.
