  • ODAC Rosters Set for Senior Challenge

    For the third consecutive year, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and the USA South Athletic Conference will be bringing extra exciting basketball to the region. The ODAC/USA South Senior Basketball Challenge is set for this Sunday, March 16, at the Everett Gymnasium on the campus of N.C. Wesleyan College. The women’s contest is set for 1:00 p.m. with the men’s match-up following at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $3 and can be purchased at the game.
  • Three ODAC Schools Prepare for NCAA Basketball

    Three ODAC schools are in preparation for play in this season's NCAA Division III Basketball Tournaments. Both Guilford College and Bridgewater College earned automatic qualifiers into the national tourneys after winning the ODAC men's and women's championships, respectively. The Virginia Wesleyan College men picked up an at-large bid in a vote by the men's basketball committee.
  • Eagles Complete Run, Win ODAC Title

    Jessica Timberlake hit a jumper with 0:29 seconds to play to complete an unlikely run through the ODAC Women’s Basketball Tournament as sixth-seeded Bridgewater College defeated #1 Virginia Wesleyan College, 57-56, to win its third conference championship. The Eagles, now 15-13 on the season, earn the ODAC’s automatic qualifier into the NCAA tournament. The Marlins bow out with a 22-6 overall record.
  • R-MC’s Ariail, VWC’s Dunmyer Atop WBB Hoops Honors

    Randolph-Macon College center Molly Ariail earned her second top ODAC honor in as many seasons in the conference after being named the 2008 ODAC Player of the Year in a vote of the league’s coaches. Virginia Wesleyan College mentor Stephany Dunmyer was tabbed the league’s top coach, and Bridgewater College freshman Jordan Burkholder was selected the Rookie of the Year. Randolph-Macon guard Amanda Hiltunen was tabbed the ODAC/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete of the Year, and Randolph College was awarded the sport’s team sportsmanship honor.
  • ODAC Basketball Tournament Seeds Set

    The 2008 ODAC Basketball Tournament seeds are set with a pair of newcomers holding the top ranks. Guilford College earns top billing on the men’s side after churning out a 16-2 conference record, 21-4 overall. Virginia Wesleyan College has given itself its best chance at winning its first ODAC women’s basketball championship, entering as the top seed following a 17-3 league mark, 20-5 overall.

  • GC, HSC Tilt Opens ODAC Basketball Videocast Schedule

    Tipping-off the ODAC’s schedule of broadcasts will be the first of two highly anticipated men’s basketball matchups between Hampden-Sydney College and Guilford College on Wednesday, January 9, at Guilford. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
  • Randolph-Macon Heads ODAC Women’s Basketball Poll

    Three-time defending ODAC champion Randolph-Macon College earned 112 total votes including seven first place tallies in being slated for the top spot in the annual ODAC Women’s Basketball Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Virginia Wesleyan College grabbed three first place nods and 103 total votes while Eastern Mennonite University rounds out the top three with 101 total votes and one first place prediction.
