Williams, a sophomore from Stokesdale, N.C., helped extend the
Wasps' winning streak to four games with two more wins last week.
Williams poured in 50 total points over the two contests,
shooting 54.5-percent overall. She opened the week with with
19 points on 7-of-15 shooting in Emory & Henry's 78-67 win over
Southern Virginia. She nailed a trio of three-pointers and
pull down four boards against the Knights. Williams followed
that with a career-high 31 points as she drilled nine
three-pointers, tying the program record and falling one short of
the ODAC single-game mark. She shot 11-of-18 from the field
overall and also handed out a pair of assists. Williams'
31-point output is the most for an E&H player since Kelly Smith
dropped in a program-best 36 on February 3, 2001, against
Bridgewater. She's also the first Wasps to score 30 or more
points since January 15, 2006. Williams is currently second
in the ODAC in scoring (17.4 ppg) and three-point percentage
(45.7), and she's tops in three-pointers made (32).
