Williams, a sophomore from Garysburg, N.C., picks up her third weekly award of the season after leading Randolph-Macon to a 68-52 victory over Lawrence in the first of two games at the Cruzin Classic in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Williams registered her fifth game of at least 20 points and 20 rebounds as she scored 22 points and pulled down 22 boards. She was 8-of-15 from the field and 6-of-9 from the foul line. Eight of her rebounds came via the offensive glass. She added four blocked shots, two steals, and an assist to her stat line. For the season, Williams leads NCAA Division III in rebounding (19.3) and is second in scoring (24.9) and blocked shots per game (3.9).

Women's Basketball Weekly Notes

Bridgewater took down Hood (89-38) via a 51-point result in its only game of the week. Kaitlyn Lehan was one of four players in double figures with 12 points to go with a game-best eight boards and two blocked shots.

Eastern Mennonite earned its fourth straight victory with a triumph over Rosemont (75-66) in its only game of the week. Myneshia Walker led with 16 points and eight rebounds to go with a pair of blocked shots. She had 10 points and six boards in the fourth quarter.

Emory & Henry snapped a small two-game slide with a pair of wins at Greensboro (83-48) and over Mary Washington (66-45) last week. Seven different players averaged eight or more points in the two contests. The Wasps 7-2 start is their best since opening 8-1 in 2015-16. Peyton Williams notched games of nine and 10 points, adding in six total rebounds and four total steals.

Guilford won for the seventh straight outing with a win at William Peace (74-55) in its only game of the week. Miracle Walters notched career-bests with 20 points and 10 rebounds for her first career double-double. Also registered four assists, four steals, and two blocked shots.

Hollins picked up its second win of the season with a victory at Notre Dam (Md.)(52-43). Keyazia Taylor and Lacrisha Hill both had double-doubles. Taylor went for 15 points and 15 boards with three steals, while Hill scored 17 points with 12 rebounds.

Lynchburg was idle over the past week. The Hornets return to action Saturday and Sunday, December 30-31, at the Roanoke Holiday Classic.

Randolph was idle over the past week. The WildCats return to action on Monday, December 18, against Washington Adventist.

Roanoke was idle over the past week. The Maroons return to action on Monday and Tuesday, December 1819 with two games at Babson.

Shenandoah dropped a pair of outings to N.C. Wesleyan (62-60) and at PSU-Altoona (78-64). Ashley Stone had 18 points and four assists in both games, adding 13 combined rebounds.

Virginia Wesleyan dropped its lone game of the week at N.C. Wesleyan (75-65). Jayla Harris poured in 28 points with three steals and two assists. She was 9-of-10 from the stripe.

Washington and Lee was idle over the past week. The Generals return to action on Wednesday and Thursday, December 20-21, with two games at teh Daytona Beach Shootout.
