Ashley MacFarlane, Shenandoah, Sr., Goalkeeper

MacFarlane, a senior from Conwingo, Md., helped Shenandoah improve to 3-1 on the season with a 13-9 victory at Christopher Newport University, which was receiving votes towards the IWLCA's top-25. MacFarlane saw 28 total shots fired at her goal with 22 on-cage during her full 60-minute shift. She turned away 13 of those attempts for a 59.1 save percentage, including six saves in a decisive second quarter that saw the Hornets carry a 5-3 lead to the break. MacFarlane, who added three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers to her line, held the Captains to 3-for-6 on free position shots with saves on all three misses. For the season, MacFarlane is second in the ODAC in goals against (18) and save percentage (59.1%) and third in goals against average (6.71).
