Montoya, a freshman from Delicias, Mexico, went 3-0 at #1 singles and #1 doubles in a 3-0 ODAC week for Hollins. Montoya notched victories over Randolph (6-2, 6-0 and 8-5), Roanoke (2-6, 7-5, 10-5 and 8-3) and Randolph-Macon (6-1, 6-0 and 8-0). She finished the season with a 13-1 #1 singles and 13-2 #2 doubles record. Montoya has now moved into the Atlantic South Rankings at #17.

Doubles
Simpson went 5-1 in Guilford’s 2-1 ODAC
week… suffered her lone setback in a first-doubles match to
Roanoke’s Laura Dodson while playing for the injured Mackey
Wesner… when Wesner returned later in the week, Simpson
collected two singles wins and two doubles triumphs in the
Quakers’ victories over Emoiry & Henry and
Randolph-Macon… won two second-doubles matches with Wesner
over the weekend and teamed with Megan Fair for a second-doubles
win over Roanoke… has won nine of her last 10 decisions.
