Taylor Garcia, Washington and Lee, Sr., #1 Singles, #1 Doubles

Garcia, a senior from Mandeville, La., went 6-0 combined between top-flight singles and doubles play to lead Washington and Lee to a trio of ODAC team victories. Garcia partnered with Margaret Carlton in doubles play in a 6-0 victory over Lynchburg. The pair defeated Christina Harris and Lauren Pascadlo, 8-5, with Garcia following with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-5) win over Harris in singles play. Garcia then did not drop a set the rest of the week. She and Carlton posted an 8-0 victory over Hannah Pardue and Jolie Nhouyvanisvong in doubles play against Guilford. Garcia then topped Pardue, 6-0, 6-0, in their singles tilt towards a 9-0 team win. The Generals defeated Hollins, 9-0, as well. This time Garcia paired with Gabi Moss for an 8-0 doubles win over Krishna Agrawal and Amelia Shaw. She then down Agrawal, 6-0, 6-0, in singles play. Garcia is now 10-5 in all singles matches this season including 8-4 at #1 and 3-0 in the ODAC. She is 9-6 in doubles action with several partners.
