Mackenzie Shand, Washington and Lee, So., Middle Blocker

Shand, a sophomore from Saline, Mich., helped the Generals to a 4-0 week that included a trio of ODAC victories.  From the middle of the Generals offense and defense, Shand collected 39 total kills and hit at a blistering .516-clip.  She commanded the net effectively, registering 15 total blocks including five to go with six digs and seven kills in a 3-1 win over St. Mary's (Md.).  In a 3-2 win over Lynchburg, Shand smacked winners on 16-of-22 attacks with just one error for a .682 attack percentage.  she added in three blocks.  She had 10 kills and hit an even .500 with three more blocks in a 3-0 win over Bridgewater.  For the season, Shand leads the ODAC with a .421 attack percentage (110-19-216) and is tied for first with 46 total blocks.

Volleyball Honor Roll

Megann Grimes, Bridgewater (Sr., MH - Midland, Va.)
Grimes collected 40 kills and hit .431 in the Eagles 1-3 week.  she had 18 kills and five digs in a 3-1 win over Randolph.

Taylor Creed, Guilford (Fr., OH - Randleman, N.C.)
Creed had 14 kills and hit .278 overall in losses to Randolph-Macon (3-0) and Virginia Wesleyan (3-0).

Aricquel Payne, Lynchburg (Sr., OH - Woodbridge, Va.)
Payne led Lynchburg to a 2-1 week with 50 kills, 24 digs and a .297 attack percentage.  She had 18 kills in a 3-2 loss to W&L, hitting .400 in that match.  She had 16 kills apiece in wins over Hollins (3-0) and Roanoke (3-2).  She had 11 digs against HU.

Kerry McMichael, Randolph (Sr., S - Westminster, S.C.)
McMichael kept the WildCats offense humming in their 1-2 week.  She averaged 10.46 assists per set as she racked up 136 helpers.  She had 44 assists in a 3-1 loss to Bridgewater.

Courtney Lowers, Randolph-Macon (Jr., OH - Suffolk, Va.)
Lowers added her league-leading kills totals with 40 winners in the Yellow Jackets 3-0 week, giving her 236 for the season.  Lowers hit .261 and collected 40 digs and four aces.  She had 18 kills and 13 digs in a 3-1 win over Roanoke.

Kaitlyn Kelley, Shenandoah (Fr., OH - Broadlands, Va.)
Kelley had nine kills apiece in 3-0 wins over Bridgewater and Eastern Mennonite.  She hit .425 for the week, adding three more winners in a loss to Gettysburg (3-0).

Tiffany Barrett, Virginia Wesleyan (So., OH - Stafford, Va.)
Barrett notched 32 kills and 39 digs with seven blocks in the Marlins' 3-0 week.  She had 14 winners and 12 digs in a 3-1 win over Emory & Henry.  Six of her seven blocks came in a 3-1 win over Eastern Mennonite.
