FOREST, Va. --- Weather this weekend forced the ODAC regular season to extend by a couple of days, but the 2023 baseball schedule is now complete. Hornets headline the eight-team championship field led by top-seed University of Lynchburg (19-3) and defending champion Shenandoah University (18-4) as the #2 seed.

ODAC teams will compete over two weekends to determine the conference champion and which school will earn the league's automatic entry into the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship bracket. The first weekend will feature the top four seeds hosting the lower four seeded teams in four best-of-three series. Those games are slated for Friday-Saturday, May 5-7. Days for the games could be altered due to graduation ceremonies on member campuses.

The four series winners will be reseeded (if necessary) and continue competition at Pitt Field on the campus of the University of Richmond. The double-elimination competition is slated for Thursday-Saturday, May 11-13.

There was one tie in the final ODAC standings, which was resolved via head-to-head tiebreakers. Roanoke College and Randolph-Macon College tied in the table at 16-6. The Maroons swept the Yellow Jackets in the regular season doubleheader this past weekend, earning RC the #3 seed. R-MC caps the top-four seeds and those schools hosting on the opening weekend.

Fifth-seeded Hampden-Sydney College (13-9) will travel to Randolph-Macon, while sixth-seeded Washington and Lee University (11-11) treks down Interstate-81 to Roanoke. Seventh-seeded Guilford College (9-12-1) opens play at Shenandoah, while eighth-seeded Bridgewater takes on Lynchburg in the Hill City.
