Lynchburg Tops Bridgewater for Ninth-Straight ODAC Field Hockey Title
Top-seeded Lynchburg College earned its ninth-straight Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) title Saturday with a 2-0 victory over Bridgewater College in the finals of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Field Hockey Tournament.

The top-seeded Lynchburg College field hockey team scored two goals in the first eight minutes of the game as it defeated Washington and Lee University 5-1 on Wednesday. With the victory, LC advances to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) tournament finals once again, looking for its ninth-straight championship.

Prillaman's OT Goal Send Eagles to First ODAC Championship Game
After a late Shenandoah goal sent the game to overtime, junior Taylor Prillaman centered the ball near the Hornets cage and the ball caromed off of a Shenandoah defender and into the back of the net to send the Bridgewater Eagles field hockey team to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) championship game behind a 2-1 overtime victory over visiting Shenandoah.

Sophomore forward Maggie Waxter scored two goals to lead the fifth-seeded Washington and Lee field hockey team to a 4-3 victory against fourth-seeded Randolph-Macon on Saturday at St. Gertrude's High School in the ODAC Tournament quarterfinals.

ODAC Field Hockey Tournament Pairings Set
Lynchburg College earned the top spot in the 2014 ODAC Field Hockey Tournament in the sport’s six-team format for the sixth-consecutive year after winning each of its eight league contests. Bridgewater College lost just once throughout the ODAC regular season, which affords the Eagles the second seed and a quarterfinal bye with LC into the semifinals.
