ODAC Field Hockey Tournament Pairings Set

Generals Run Table, Set to Host Final Four

FOREST, Va. --- Washington and Lee University ran the league table on the way to securing the top seed in the upcoming ODAC Field Hockey Tournament. The top position in the conference's six-team format awards the Generals a bye thru the quarterfinals and the opportunity to serve as host for the semifinals and finals.

Lynchburg College joins W&L with a bye thru the opening round with the Hornets lone league setback coming against the Generals. The top two seeds will await the winners of a pair of quarterfinal matchups.

Roanoke College and Bridgewater College will host quarterfinal matchups on Tuesday, October 31, as the field's third and fourth seeds. Shenandoah University, which fell 1-0 at Bridgewater on Saturday night, will make the trip back down I-81 on Tuesday to the Eagles' venue as the fifth seed. In a second Saturday-to-quarterfinal rematch, sixth-seeded Randolph-Macon College will again meet the Maroons, but this time the game will be in Salem at RC's Kerr Stadium. Roanoke won the first showdown, 4-2.

The quarterfinals are set to begin on Tuesday, October 31 at times to be determined. Those two winners will join Washington and Lee and Lynchburg in Lexington for the semifinals and championship on Friday and Saturday, November 3-4.
