Roanoke Set to Host Semifinals, Finals as Top Seed

FOREST, Va. --- Roanoke College and Washignton and Lee University finished with matching 8-1 records in conference men's lacrosse action, but it will be the Maroons that occupy the top seed as RC's head-to-head victory over the Generals locked up top billing in the upcoming ODAC Men's Lacrosse Tournament.  Roanoke will also serve as host for the semifinals and finals at Kerr Stadium in Salem.

In addition to the top two seeds, which earned quarterfinal round byes for RC and W&L, each of the remaining positions in the six team field required a head-to-head tiebreaker to determine.  Quarterfinal hosting responsibilities were earned by Hampden-Sydney College and Lynchburg College, respectively, as the pair secured the third and fourth seeds.  The Tigers' regular season victory over the Hornets affords them the higher seed.

With that comes a date with sixth-seeded Guilford College.  The Quakers travel to Farmville after coming out on the wrong side of a head-to-head tiebreaker with Virginia Wesleyan.  The fifth seeded Marlins will head to Lynchburg for quarterfinal ation on Tuesday, May 3.

Both of the quarterfinal winners will join Washington and Lee and Roanoke in Salem for the "final four."  The semifinals will be on Saturday, May 7, while the championship will be conducted on Sunday, May 8.
