GREENSBORO, N.C. --- ODAC swimming returns to its home away from home at the Greensboro Aquatic Center over the next four days as the conference kicks off its winter series of postseason events with the ODAC Swimming Championships.
Seven sessions of swimming await the leagues water-driven student-athletes, albeit a day earlier than in previous years. ODAC teams will compete in the 800-yard freestyle relay on Wednesday evening to kick off the Championships on Wednesday evening, February 8, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Thursday and Friday, February 9-10, feature multiple events with preliminary disciplines in the morning starting at 10:00 a.m. ET each day followed by finals of those same events at 6:00 p.m. ET. On Friday, February 11, prelims for that day's events still start at 10:00 a.m. ET, but the finals move up an hour to 5:00 p.m. ET.
We encourage all able to make the trip to the GAC to take in as much of the Championships in person. Tickets are available on-site through the GAC. However, those unable to make the trip to Greensboro can still take in all the action with live streams of each session. Swimming fans can access all seven streams via the ODAC Sports Network at www.odacsn.com. Archives of each session will be viewable approximately one hour after each concludes.

A year removed from not competing at the ODAC Swimming Championships, it was back to the top of the awards platform for Washington and Lee as the Generals claimed both conference championships. They improved upon their league records for trophies lifted with their 31st women's swimming crown and seventh men's swimming title.
W&L won 27-of-36 combined events including all 10 relays. Roanoke College, runner-up in the men's competition, won four men's events and a pair of women's disciplines. Randolph-Macon College, the runner-up in the women's ranks, and University of Lynchburg claimed on women's event each while the Hornets added one men's victory to their dual third place showings in the final team tables.
This season, Washington and Lee enters the championship ranked on both sides of the ledger by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The Generals are slotted 20th in the country in the women's ranks, while W&L's men's program is ranked 24th in Division III.
In looking at the 36 championship events set to be competed in Greensboro, Washington and Lee swimmers feature #1 in 17 individual events in addition to all 10 relays. Roanoke tops the lists in two individual events in each competition, while Bridgewater College and Lynchburg athletes also lead two men's events. Randolph-Macon accounts for the top-time in the remaining women's event.
W&L's Brynn Martinson, the 2022 ODAC Swimmer and Rookie of the Meet, is poised for another run at top swimmer. She enters Championships with the league's best times in the 50-yard, 100-yard, and 200-yard freestyle events. Teammate Sara Gaston (100/200 B) is the only other swimmer to lead more than one event. She tops the table in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstrokes.
On the men's side, the Generals Dalton Jobe is the owner of the lone broken record during the 2022-23 campaign. The five-time ODAC Swimmer of the Week reset the league's mark in the 400-yard individual medley at 4:02.19. That time is currently ranked 39th in the Division III. Jobe also owns the top spot in teh 200-yard and 500-yard freestyles.
Lynchburg's Colton Schnars and Bridgewater's Andrea Cibrario feature at the top of two events. Schnars is the leader in the 50-yard freestyle as well as the 100-yard backstroke. Cibrario is #1 in the 200-yard backstroke and the 200-yard individual medley.
