R-MC's Unbeaten ODAC Run Secures Top Seed

FOREST, Va. --- Randolph-Macon College dropped just two sets in running thru its 11-match conference slate on the way to the top seed for the second straight year in the upcoming ODAC Volleyball Tournament.  Virginia Wesleyan College's tourney position also has a familiar ring to it as the Marlins won on the final day of regular season competition to lockup the #2 seed for the second straight season.

Washington and Lee University and Roanoke College join R-MC and VWC as quarterfinal hosts with the defending champion Generals playing as the third seed and the Maroons slotted fourth.  Shenandoah University and Emory & Henry College earned the fifth and sixth seeds outright, respectively, but tiebreakers were needed to determine the final two positions.

Randolph College, Lynchburg College and Bridgewater College also completed their ODAC schedules with 4-7 league marks.  Head-to-head tiebreakers amongst the three teams sifted out the stalemate.  The WildCats will be the seventh seed after defeating both LC and BC in the regular season, while the Hornets' 1-1 showing against the two wrapped up the eighth seed for Lynchburg.

Quarterfinal play begins Wednesday, November 4, with matches played on campuses of the top four seeds. The event continues on Saturday, November 7, with semifinals and championship hosted by the highest-seeded advancing team from the quarterfinals.
