Amber Celen, Bridgewater, So., Sprints
April 18, 2016Celen, a sophomore from Townsend, Del., ran three times at the Hopkins Loyola Invitational, finishing second in both sprints. In the 100-meter dash, Celen chimed in at 0:12.17, which ranks second to her own ODAC top time (12.14 sec.) and would slot 15th nationally. She did one better in the 200-meter dash, establishing the conference's season-best time at 0:24.75. That sits #7 in NCAA Division III. Celen also helped the Eagles 4x400-meter relay team set a program season-best mark in 4:10.26. -
Katelyn Senger, Bridgewater, Jr., Throws
April 18, 2016Senger, a junior from Bumpass, Va., picks up her second weekly award after throwing well at the New Captains Classic at CNU. Senger highlighted her performance by strengthening her hold on the ODAC's top mark in the discus, tossing the apparatus 42.26 meters to finish second overall. That mark also ranks 22nd in NCAA Division III. She whipped the hammer 39.13 meters and added throws of 26.98 meters in the javelin and 10.33 meters in the shot put.

Davonta Womack, Bridgewater, Fr., Sprints
April 18, 2016Womack, a freshman from Roanoke, Va., competed three times at the Hopkins Loyola Invitational and put himself atop the ODAC charts in the 200-meter dash. Womack recorded a time of 0:21.77, which placed second overall and stands as the 20th fastest time in NCAA Division III this season. He also helped BC in the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays, which stopped the watches at 0:42.85 and 3:19.66, respectively.

Patrick Robertson, Washington and Lee, Jr., Throws
April 18, 2016Robertson, a junior from Norfolk, Va., won the hammer throw and came in fifth in the shot put at the Hopkins Loyola Invitational on Saturday. He won the hammer with a throw of 47.82 meters, and he registered a toss of 14.39 meters in the shot put. The throw in the hammer was a new collegiate best for Robertson and is the best in the ODAC this season. The mark in the shot put was a season-best and is the second-best toss in the conference.

Lexie Janney, Roanoke, Sr., Sprints
April 11, 2016Janney, a senior from Daleville, Va., won an individual event and helped Roanoke to a pair of relay victories at the Bridgewater Invitational. Janney captured the 400-meter dash in 0:57.75, which ranks as the second-fastest time in the ODAC and 19th quickest in NCAA Division III. She then ran the anchor leg in both the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays, in which RC posted winning times of 0:49.80 and 4:08.42, respectively.

Katelyn Senger, Bridgewater, Jr., Throws
April 11, 2016Senger, a junior from Bridgewater, Va., put together a strong day in all four throws at the Bridgewater Invitational. She won both the hammer throw and discus, while placing third in the shot put and fourth in the javelin. Her throw of 44.51 meters in the hammer broke her own BC record and ranks third in the ODAC this season. She heaved the discus 41.72 meters to take over top position in the ODAC and rank 19th nationally. Senger capped her day with throws of 10.79 meters in the shot and 30.95 meters in the javelin, the former ranking fourth in the ODAC.

Ansel Borhauer, Shenandoah, Jr., Sprints
April 11, 2016Borhauer, a junior from Burke, Va., posted a pair of victories at the Bridgewater Invitational over the weekend. Both times rank inside the ODAC's top-five in their respective ranks. He captured the 400-meter dash in 0:48.95, setting a new ODAC-best mark and tying for 20th in the country. He also won the 200-meter dash in 0:22.52, which slots as the fourth-best time in the conference this season. Borhauer added a showing in the 4x400-meter relay, helping Shenandoah to third in 3:35.07.

Evan Truman, Lynchburg, Jr., Jumps/Sprints
April 11, 2016Truman, a junior from Richmond, Va., put together a national top-10 performance in the long jump at the Bridgewater Invitational this weekend. Truman is the first ODAC athlete to crack seven meters this season as he won the event at 7.04 meters (23' 1.25"). That distance ties for eighth in NCAA Division III. Truman also competed in the 100-meter dash on the track, taking fifth at 0:11.40.

Hannah Chappell-Dick, Eastern Mennonite, Sr., Mid-Distance
April 04, 2016Chappell-Dick, a senior from Bluffton, Ohio, continued her move up the national rankings in the mid-distance races, this time competing in just the 1,500-meter run at the Colonial Relays. Already the owner of the third-best time in the country, Chappell-Dick moved up to #2 in NCAA Division III with a time of 4:28.62 as she closes in on her own ODAC record time (4:27.25) set last season. Chappell-Dick then traveled to the Roanoke Invitational and helped her teammates finish second in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:12.70.

Kristen Trice, Bridgewater, Sr., Jumps/Throws
April 04, 2016Trice, a senior from Glen Allen, Va., competed in three events at the Roanoke Invitational, finishing in the top-three in both horizontal jumps. She won the triple jump at 11.44 meters, which is the top mark in the ODAC this season by nearly a meter and ranks seventh in NCAA Division III. Trice added a third place showing in the long jump at 5.04 meters, and finished 12th in the javelin at 23.38 meters.

Josephus Mitchell, Guilford, Jr., Sprints
April 04, 2016Mitchell, a junior from Winston-Salem, N.C., put together a stellar sprinting day at the VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point University. Mitchell posted the best 100-meter dash time in the ODAC this season, chiming in at 0:10.88. That mark ranks 19th in NCAA Division III and cracks the top-eight all-time at Guilford. He added a time of 0:22.78 in the 200-meter dash for fifth in the ODAC, and then joined teammates Gus Chambers, Nick Jones and Alex Martin for a 0:44.26 showing in the 4x100-meter relay.

Darin Council, Bridgewater, Jr., Jumps/Throws
April 04, 2016Council, a junior from Stafford, Va., competed in four events at the Roanoke Invitational. He won the triple jump with a mark of 13.45 meters, taking over the top spot in the ODAC and ranking 31st in NCAA Division III. Council added a third place showing in the discus (40.37m), fourth in the shot put (12.79m) and 15th in the hammer (29.50m). His marks in the shot and discus rank inside the ODAC's top-five this season.

Hannah Chappell-Dick, Eastern Mennonite, Sr., Mid-Distance
March 28, 2016Chappell-Dick, a senior from Bluffton, Ohio, posted a pair of national top-three performances at the Raleigh Relays over the weekend. Chappell-Dick started off with the 1,500-meter run, finishing 29th overall with a time of 4:33.74. That is the top-time in the ODAC and third in NCAA Division III. The next day, Chappell-Dick competed in the 800-meter run and again put herself atop the conference charts with a sixth-place time of 2:10.26. That mark sits second in the country.

Rolonda Taylor, Virginia Wesleyan, So., Jumps
March 28, 2016Taylor, a sophomore from Norfolk, Va., posted a pair of ODAC top marks while competing at the Commonwealth Duals. Taylor won the high jump by eclipsing 1.59 meters (5' 2.5"), which ties with W&L's Maggie Kleber for the top height in the conference. She added a second place showing in the triple jump by bounding 10.50 meters (34' 5.5"), good for solo position atop the ODAC charts. Taylor added a fourth-place performance in the long jump, hitting the sand at 5.07 meters (16' 7.75").

Harrison Toney, Roanoke, Sr., Distance
March 28, 2016Toney, a senior from Roanoke, Va., smoked the field in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Winthrop Adidas Invitational. Toney won the event by 23-seconds over the next closest competitor from N.C. A&T, posting a time of 9:15.17. That mark is currently the #1 time in NCAA Division III and came within 0:03 seconds of tying the ODAC record he set last season.

Jeremy Heizer, Eastern Mennonite, Sr., Throws
March 28, 2016Heizer, a senior from Staunton, Va., shined in the throws at the Raleigh Relays last week. In the shot put, he posted a new personal record of 15.54 meters (51' 0.0") to take over the top spot in the ODAC by more 1.54 meters. Heizer's throw placed 16th overall and first among NCAA Division III in the event at the meet. His mark also sits 10th in the country.

Kaleigh Hinton, Washington and Lee, So., Hurdles
March 21, 2016Hinton, a sophomore from Florham Park, N.J., put together a pair of impressive showings in the hurdles at the W&L Carnival, establishing her personal bests in both disciplines. Hinton took over the top spot in the ODAC in both the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles, winning the latter event in 1:07.86. She came in second in the 100m hurdles, posting a time of 0:16.58.

Dana Lee, Washington and Lee, Jr., Jumps/Sprints
March 21, 2016Lee, a junior from Nashville, Tenn., shined both on the track and in the field for the Generals at the W&L Carnival, but it was in the jumps where she made the most noise. Lee won the long jump with a leap of 5.68 meters, which stands as the best in the ODAC and the second-longest leap in NCAA Division III so far this season. She also competed in the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes, establishing ODAC top times in both events. She won the 100-dash in 0:12.72 and came in second in the 200-dash in 0:25.97.

Tyler Denlinger, Eastern Mennonite, Jr., Mid-Distance
March 21, 2016Denlinger, a junior fro Perkasie, Pa., put together a pair of strong runs at the W&L Carnival, taking over the top spot in the ODAC in both events. He finished second in the 1,500-meter run at 4:02.34, and then added an eighth place finish in the 800-meter run in 1:58.72. His 800-meter time is faster than the second-best ODAC athlete by more than five-seconds.

Davis Turner, Washington and Lee, Jr., Jumps
March 21, 2016Turner won the high jump at the W&L Carnival, posting the ODAC's top mark of the season at 1.86m. He also competed in the long jump, placing third with a personal best leap of 6.53m. Turner added an 18th place finish in the 100m dash in 0:12.11.

Lindsey Crill, Lynchburg, Sr., Mid-Distance
March 14, 2016Crill, a senior from Highland Falls, N.Y., competed in the 800-meter run and the mile run at the outdoor season-opening Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNC-Wilmington. She placed 16th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:34.99, and added a ninth place showing in the mile run at 5:36.85. Both marks were tops among NCAA Division III competitors in the events.

Mary Kelly, Roanoke, Sr., Throws
March 14, 2016Kelly, a senior from Somerville, N.J., competed in three throwing events at the Coach O Coastal Carolina Invitational. In the javelin, she opened the ODAC season just nine-feet short of the ODAC record with a throw of 39.91 meters (130' 11.0"), which placed third overall. Kelly threw the discus 28.62 meters (93' 11.0") and the hammer 34.07 meters (111' 9.0"), which placed 26th and 29th, respectively.

Cameron Thompson, Roanoke, Jr., Sprints
March 14, 2016Thompson, a McLean, Va., kicked off the outdoor season with a pair of strong showings in the sprints at the Coach O Coastal Carolina Invitational. Thompson finished seventh in the 100-meter dash, posting a time of 0:10.98 to lead all NCAA D-III competitors in the event. He did the same in the 200-meter dash, placing 15th overall in 0:22.20.

Evan Truman, Lynchburg, Jr., Jumps/Sprints
March 14, 2016Truman, a junior from Richmond, Va., started off the outdoor season with a nice showing in the long jump at the Seahawk Invitational hosted by UNC-Wilmington. He placed fourth in the event by reaching 6.95 meters. He also ran in a pair of events, posting 0:11.29 in the 100-meter dash and 0:22.92 in the 200-meter dash. He placed 11th and ninth in those events, respectively.
