Kim Alfaro, Lynchburg, So., Throws
February 24, 2014Alfaro, a sophomore from Toms River, N.J., put together a strong day in the throws at the Lynchburg Sprints, Jumps and Throws Challenge. She won the both the shot put and the weight throw events, posting the ODAC's seasonal best mark in the latter. She heaved the weight 49' 11.25", which ranks 50th in the country. She tossed the shot 38' 9", second only to her throw of 39' 1" earlier this season. -
Aaron Jeong, Washington and Lee, Jr., Sprints
February 24, 2014Jeong, a junior from Federal Way, Wash., put together a school record-breaking day at the Kent State Tune-Up over the weekend. Jeong put his name atop the ODAC seasonal charts in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.91 seconds. He finished sixth overall and first among NCAA Division III competitors in an event field that featured athletes from all three NCAA divisions. Jeong's time, which ranks 14th in the country, also bested his own school record, which was set at 7.02 seconds. In addition to the 60-dash, Jeong also competed in in the 200-meter dash, posting a time of 23.24 seconds.

Jaclyn Mohlmann, Shenandoah, Jr., Annandale, Va.
February 17, 2014Mohlmann, a junior from Annandale, Va., won and set a school record in the Pentathlon at the Bomber Invitational. She racked up 3,249 points, which included a win in the 800-meter run. Her time of 2:22.89 in the 800-run sits second in the ODAC. Outside of the pentatlon, she compted in the 400-meter dash and a set a school record with a time of 1:03.44.

Harrison Toney, Roanoke, So., Mid-Distance/Distance
February 17, 2014Toney, a sophomore from Roanoke, Va., took over the top spot on the ODAC seasonal top times chart in the mile run at the UCS Invitational hosted at JDL Fastrack. His time of 4:22.31 was good enough for 20th overall and tops among NCAA Division III competition in the race.

Kristen Trice, Bridgewater, So.
February 10, 2014Trice, a sophomore from Glen Allen, Va., won two events and finished second in a third at the Crusader Invitational hosted by Susquehanna University. Trice leapt higher than the rest in the high jumper, clearing 5' 3.75" (1.62m) to take over the #1 position in the ODAC. Her other victory came in the triple jump via a 36' 5" (11.10m) leap. That ranks second in the ODAC behind her own top mark by 2.5-inches. Trice added a second place showing in the triple jump (16' 8.75" -- 5.10m).

Randy Lott, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr.
February 10, 2014Lott, a senior from Virginia Beach, Va., put together a strong showing at the Vince Brown Invitational hosted by Christopher Newport University. Lott was the top NCAA Division III finisher in both the 60-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, posting top-three ODAC times in both events. He placed fifth overall and tied atop the ODAC in the 60-dash with a time of 6.98 seconds. He improved to second overall in the 200-dash with a time of 22.86, currently third in the conference. Lott also ran the lead-off leg of the 4x400-meter relay, placing second overall and moving up to fourth in the ODAC ranks with a time of 3:29.83.

Alease Kinney, Roanoke, So.
February 03, 2014Kinney, a sophomore from Richmond, Va., competed in all three sprints at the Hilton Garden Invitational over the weekend. Kinney was the top NCAA Division III finisher in the 60-meter and 400-meter dashes, posting times of 8.27 seconds and 1:00.59, respectively. The latter time sits second on the ODAC's seasonal chart, as does her 200-meter dash time of 27.11 seconds.

Luke Sohl, Bridgewater, Jr.
February 03, 2014Sohl, a junior from Burke, Va., broke a 21-year old conference record and smashed Bridgewater's record in the 3,000-meter run at the Hilton Garden Invitational on Saturday. His time of 8:28.71 pushed his name above former Lynchburg College standout Gregg Cavaliere by 1.03 seconds as he took first place in the 44-man all-divisions race. Sohl's time eclipsed the BC record held by Nathan Rittenhouse by nearly 20 seconds. His time is currently ranked ninth in NCAA Division III.

Randy Lott, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr.
January 27, 2014Lott, a senior from Virginia Beach, Va., competed in four events at the Captains Invitational & Combined Events, setting one new ODAC seasonal top time. Lott was the second NCAA Division III finisher in the 60-meter dash, topping the ODAC charts in 7.00 seconds. He also raced to a 23.20 time in the 200-meter dash, his second showing at that mark this season. It placed second among D3 competitors and is third in the conference. Lott also took part in a pair of relays, including a record-setting finish in the 4x200 relay in 1:34.16. That relay finished first among D3 competitors, while the 4x400-relay time of 3:30.40 was second in D3.

Dana Lee, Washington and Lee, Fr.
January 27, 2014Lee, a freshman from Nashville, Tenn., put together a strong performance at the Marietta Open, which saw her set a pair of ODAC top marks. She set the Washington and Lee record in the long, leaping to a first place distance of 5.63 meters (18' 5.75") to take over the top spot in the ODAC by nearly a foot. Lee finished second in the 200-meter dash in 27.34 seconds, which tops the conference ranks by 0.02 seconds. Lee completed her efforts for the meet with a third place showing in the triple jump with a mark of 10.38 meters (34' 0.75"), which is third in the ODAC so far this season.

Kristen Trice, Bridgewater, So.
January 20, 2014Trice, a sophomore from Glen Allen, Va., was the top NCAA Division III finisher in two events, setting new ODAC seasonal top times in both at the Liberty Open over the weekend. Trice placed third overall in both the high jump and triple jump, tying for the league lead in the former by clearing a height of 5-feet 3-inches, the best mark for a Bridgewater jumper in seven years. In the triple, she leapt 36-feet 7.5-inches to sit atop the conference by more than a foot. The jump also ranks as the second-best in BC history. Trice also competed in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes, posting times of 8.70 and 30.27 seconds.

A.J. Bernstein, Roanoke, Sr.
January 20, 2014Bernstein, a senior from Germantown, Tenn., posted the ODAC's best time in the 800-meter run at the Liberty Open over the weekend. Bernstein crossed the finish line in 1:58.93, besting all other NCAA Division III competitors and placing third overall in the multi-divisional race.

Evan Griffin, Shenandoah, Sr., Throws
December 16, 2013Griffin, a senior from Annandale, Va., competed with his teammates at the Haverford Holiday Meet over the weekend. Griffin won the shot put with a toss of 14.32 meters (46' 11.75"). That mark, in addition to qualifying for the ODAC Indoor Championships, is currently the second-longest in the conference so far this season. It also set a new Shenandoah program record.

Emily Cobb, Shenandoah, Jr., Sprints
December 16, 2013Cobb, a junior from Suffolk, Va., competed in a pair of events at the Haverford Holiday Meet, establishing personal-bests in each race. She placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.19. She followed that with a sixth place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 30.37-seconds. Both times rank in the top-10 in the ODAC this season, with Cobb's 400-time currently slotted third.

Greg Wilson, Lynchburg, Sr., Throws
December 09, 2013Wilson, a senior from Sagamore Beach, Mass., started off the indoor season as the top NCAA Division III competitor in both throw events in which he competed at the Liberty Kickoff, leading the ODAC in both apparatuses. He placed second overall in the shot put with a toss of 15.02 meters (49' 3.50"). He went on to place third overall in the weight throw with a heave of 16.09 meters (52' 9.50"). His throws bettered all other ODAC competitors by at least five feet in both events over the weekend.

Aleshia Washington, Lynchburg, Jr., Sprints
December 09, 2013Washington, a junior from Virginia Beach, Va., put together a strong showing at the season opening Liberty Kickoff last week. She was the top NCAA Division III finisher in her two events, placing second overall in both. She posted a time of 8.12-seconds in the finals of the 60-meter dash, but her preliminary time of 8.02-seconds ranks as the top time in the ODAC so far. Her time in the 200-meter dash also leads conference competitors, chiming in at 27.38-seconds.
