Washington and Lee finished fourth out of 32 teams with 160 points.
Coombs, a junior from Newton, N.J., continues to show well with the ODAC Championships approaching in just over two weeks as she completed the Gettysburg Invitational as the top collegiate finisher. Coombs stopped the watches following the six-kilometer race in 22:43.0, giving her a new season-best by nearly 14-seconds. Her time was second overall to a non-collegiate club runner. Coombs led Virginia Wesleyan to 10th in the teams standings with 312 points.
Watts, a senior from Stafford, Va., finished fourth at the Piedmont Invitational, which also serves as the USA South Preview meet. Watts stopped the watches at 29:16.4, which marks his second-fastest eight-kilometer time of the season. He was 37-seconds off the winning time at the meet.
Yates, a sophomore from Birmingham, Ala., competed in her first race of the season at the Queens Royals Cross Country Challenge, which featured 39 teams largely comprised of NCAA Division II institutions. Yates finished 53rd out of 343 runners overall after posting the ODAC's fastest five-kilometer time of the season at 18:58.9. Washington and Lee took 13th in the team standings.

Strehler posted the top eight-kilometer time in the ODAC this season and the best mark at that distance of his career with a time of 25:03.0. He placed 16th overall out of 401 runners and eighth among NCAA Division III competition. The Generals finished 12th among 45 teams and were sixth-best in the D-III contingent. All five teams that finished ahead of Washington and Lee rank in the nation's top-35.
Coombs, a junior from Newton, N.J., posted the ODAC's top six-kilometer time of the season by winning the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University. She broke her previous-best by 26-seconds as she clipped the tape at 22:56.77. Coombs needed all her track speed to fend off a late push from Messiah's Alissa Rogers by 0.09-seconds to secure the title. Virginia Wesleyan finished eighth as a team.
Hiegel, a sophomore from Richmond, Va., won the Hornet Harrier/Commonwealth Challenge over the weekend, helping Bridgewater to first place in a team standings that featured several ODAC schools. Hiegel posted a six-kilometer time of 19:51.0, capturing his first collegiate championship. Bridgewater won the team trophy with just 34 points.
McMichael, a sophomore from Eight Four, Pa., won the 2016 Shenandoah Hornet Harrier/Commonwealth Challenge on Saturday at the Kernstown Battlefield. McMichael crossed the finish line of the five-kilometer race in 19:57.40 to take the top spot out of 87 competitors. She beat the second-place runner. This marked the first collegiate win for McMichael.
Osborne, a senior from Lynchburg, Va., paced the Hornets at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invitational as Lynchburg was the lone NCAA Divsion III squad to compete in the field. He chimed in 24th overall with an eight-kilometer time of 26:05.40. He helped LC to seventh place in the team standings that featured nine total squads with Lynchburg placed above Radford and Longwood.
Schreiber, a freshman, led the Hornets' contingent at the Virginia Tech Alumni Invational where Lynchburg was the lone NCAA Division III school in the field. She finishe the six-kilometer course with a time 23:11.80 to place 23rd overall, besting several Division I competitors along the way. Lynchburg placed eight overall amongst nine teams, topping Longwood in the final standings.

Dalton, a senior from Roanoke, Va., posted her first meet victory of the season by claiming the ODAC Preview Meet hosted by Washington and Lee at the Buena Vista Links in Buena Vista, Va. Dalton stopped the watches at 15:16.4 after completing the four-kilometer track just 2.4-seconds clear of second place. Her efforts helped Roanoke to second in the team standings with 61 points.
Thibodeaux, a senior from Mount Sidney, Va., started the season with a strong six-kilometer showing at the Galen Piper Challenge hosted by Shippensburg University (Pa.). Thibodeaux was the second overall collegiate finisher in the event, chiming in with a time of 19:25.0. That placed fifth among all competitors in the 107-man field.
