The Lead: Second-seeded Washington and Lee scored a 3-0 ODAC semifinal win over third-seeded Roanoke Saturday at Lynchburg College.
How it Happened
- W&L got the only goal it would need in the 25th minute when Oliver Dolberg set up his brother Victor for a goal to make it 1-0.
- The Generals doubled their advantage in the 48th minute when Patrick Barry shoved an RC defender to create space and head home a corner kick off the foot of Kevin Lencioni.
- RC had a chance to cut its deficit in half when Brandon Bauer volleyed a throw in but General keeper Gillen Beck made a diving save to his right to keep the Maroons off the board.
- Roanoke outshot Washington and Lee 15-11 and the Generals held a 6-4 edge in corner kicks. Nick Tadros made two saves for the Maroons.
