HILTON HEAD, S. C. - The Mary Baldwin women's tennis team opened play on its Spring Break trip Sunday, losing to Roanoke College, 9-0.

Hannah Eastridge and Lauren Byrnes played solid matches in singles competition. Eastridge lost 6-3, 6-3 to Halle Fernstrum at the No. 1 slot while Byrnes fell at No. 6 singles to Maddie Morrell 6-2, 6-4.

The women return to action Monday against Messiah.
