Illness, Injuries Force Tigers To Halt Spring Break Matches

HILTON HEAD, SC — After struggling through three matches over the last two days without most of their starting lineup, the Wittenberg Tigers were forced to cancel a scheduled match against Moravian after starting the day with a loss to Bridgewater.

Injuries and illness had sidelined most of the Tigers' starters, and after six players competed in doubles against Bridgewater only five were able to answer the bell for the singles matches. Sophomore Jessica Coggins (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) turned in the best result in a 9-0 loss, as she dropped a third-set tiebreaker at the No. 3 singles position.

The Tigers were supposed to turn right around and play against Moravian, but the match was cancelled instead.
