UMW Volleyball Closes Regular Season With WIns Over Shenandoah and Marymount

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team gained a pair of victories - 3-0 over Shenandoah University and 3-1 over Marymount University - to close the regular season on Saturday at Ron Rosner Arena. The Eagles head to postseaosn play with a 22-7 record.

UMW opened the tri-match with a 25-8, 25-7, 25-14 victory over Shenandoah. Senior Krista Rodgers, playing on her senior day, and junior Jordan Lyons led UMW with nine kills each, while sophomore Lauren Foley posted 19 assists and junior Brenna Campbell added 18. Lyons led the Eagles with 11 digs.

The Eagles then returned later in the day to face Marymount, and came away with a 25-13, 25-17, 26-28, 25-23 victory. 

Rodgers led UMW with 15 kills against no errors, while Lyons scored 14 kills and sophomore Chloe Crosen 13. Foley posted 30 assists, and Campbell added 19. Sarah Moore led with 16 digs, with Hannah Livermon and Lyons each adding 12.

The Eagles will return to action at home in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Tournament, hosted by UMW on November 4-5. Seedings and match times will be anounced on Monday.
