UMW Men's Soccer Blanks Randolph, 2-0

Junior forward T.L. Tutor (Islesboro, Me., Gould Academy)scored a pair of second half goals to lead the University of Mary Washington men's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Randolph College in a game played at Lynchburg College on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 4-2 on the season, and have won four straight.

Tutor opened the scoring at 58:17 on an assist from Patch Owen on a header on a corner kick. Tutor added an insurance tally at 82:48 on a long pass from tournament MVP Jae Park.

The Eagles outshot Randolph, 26-6, and had 13 corner kicks to two for Randolph. UMW senior goalie Emmett Rutkowski had one save in gaining the shutout, while Aaron Humphries had 10 saves for Randolph.

Park was named the Tournament MVP, while Emmett Rutkowski, Tutor, Justin Weirich and Corey Sims were named to the all-tournament team as well.

The Eagles will host St. Mary's College in the Capital Athletic Conference opener on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
