Tigers Pick Up Win In The South

Lexington, VA- Wittenberg headed south for spring break where they split with a 1-1 record after competing against Washington & Lee and Guilford College.

Tigers got off to a tough start for their spring break competition after competing against a tough Washington & Lee team. Wittenberg fell with an 8-1 score and John Devito getting the single point for Wittenberg. Devito was able to double W&L's score with a 10-5 finish in his singles match, posting the best score for the Tigers.

After a tough loss the Tigers headed to Greensboro, NC to compete against Guilford college where their record would improve after defeating the Quakers 5-4. Tigers were able to pick up two wins in doubles with Devito and Joe Patton finishing with a 8-3 score and Jack Rardon and Tay Gavin taking out Gilford with a 8-6 score. The Tigers picked up more wins in the singles match with TayPatton and Devito taking a 6-3 win each.

Up Next: The Tigers will head down to Kentucky to take on Centre College on Sunday, March 15th.
