Pappas, a senior from Belmont, Mass., helped the Cardinals to a 45-28 season-opening win over McDaniel College in Washington, D.C. on Friday evening. Pappas posted four total tackles, including a pair of tackles-for-a-loss to account for three yards lost for McDaniel. He also forced a fumble on one of his TFL's in the fourth quarter. Pappas' biggest play of the day put points on the board for Catholic when he recovered a blocked punt in the McDaniel end zone to put CUA ahead, 31-16, early in the third quarter.

Boden, a junior from Knoxville, Tenn., led Emory & Henry to a victory over Ferrum College, 45-36, in the 2012 Western Virginia Education Classic. Boden, who was named the offensive MVP for the game, completed 32-of-50 passes (64%) for 335 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. He tossed a pair of 30-yard scoring strikes in addition to four and five yard touchdown passes. Both 30-yard touchdowns came in the fourth quarter, helping the Wasps put away their sixth straight season-opening win over Ferrum.

Milks, a senior from Gloucester, Va., helped Lynchburg get the season started on a very positive note with a pair of victories in their first two games...and she did so playing to very different roles between the two contests. In a 9-2 win over Frostburg State, Milks poured in three goals as she fired 12 times at the Bobcats' net, putting 11 shots on frame. In Sunday's contest against DePauw, Milks switched to a defensive role and helped the Hornets grind out a 3-2 win.

Colby, a sophomore from Prairie Village, Kans., burst on the scene with five goals in a pair of season-opening victories for the Generals. He paced W&L with two goals in a 3-0 win over Moravian in the first contest of the year. He backed that up with with a hat-trick in which he cashed in the game-winner win a 4-2 triumph over Bethany (W.Va.).

Hammons, a sophomore from Yorktown, Va., helped the WildCats open the season 2-0 for the second straight season. Against Ferrum in Randolph's opening contest, Hammons scored the first goal of the game, but her services would be needed again as she tallied the game-winner in ninth minute of the first overtime period to secure a 3-2 win over the Panthers. Hammons followed that performance by swithing to a playmaker's role as she assisted on a pair of goals by Abigail Bullins in a 4-1 victory over Gallaudet.

Cockerham, a senior from Galax, Va., led Emory & Henry to a 4-1 showing in its opening weekend as she hammered 69 total kills that included a trio of double-digit matches. Cockerham's high mark came in a 3-2 win over William Peace as she converted a career-high 26 winners, which would have tied for the most in one match with last season's conference-high. She also had 14 kills in a triumph over Methodist and 11 winners against Greensboro. Cockerham added 43 digs, eight aces and four blocks to her weekend stat line.

Smith, a senior from Roanoke, Va., picks up right where he left off last season as the ODAC's reigning Runner of the Year won the ODAC Preview Meet hosted by Eastern Mennonite University at the Peak View Course in Harrisonburg, Va. Smith stopped the watches in 27:41.87 after completing the 8-kilometer course. His time was a little more than 10-seconds faster than the second place finisher.

Chappell-Dick, a freshman from Bluffton, Ohio, made a splash in her collegiate debut, winning Friday's ODAC Preview Meet, the EMU Royals Invitational. Chappell-Dick was passed by W&L's Lauren Schultz with about 200 meters left in the race, but she came right back to pass her in the final 30 meters to win by two seconds. Chappell-Dick's time of 24:53.00 was also the best time ever for an EMU runner on the Peak View xourse. The Lady Royals, picked seventh in the preseason poll, finished second as a team.
