MEN'S BASKETBALL
Marcus Badger, Randolph-Macon, Jr.,
Guard
Badger, a junior from Plymouth
Meeting, Pa., helped the Yellow Jackets to a 2-1 week on the way to
being named the Most Valuable Player of the R-MC Coaches Classic.
Badger averaged 15.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.7
steals in the three contests, which included victories over
Birmingham-Southern (67-57) and Dickinson College (77-71). He had
13 points, six rebounds and three assists. He followed that with 15
points, five boards, three assists and five steals against
Dickinson. Earlier in the week, he notched 18 points, six assists
and two steals against Cabrini College (91-98). Badger, who shot
50-percent (16-of-32) for the week, is averaging 10.4 points per
game and is third in the ODAC with 40 assists.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Sarah Parsons, Randolph-Macon, Jr.,
Guard
Parsons, a junior from Glen Allen,
Va., helped the Yellow Jackets to a 1-1 showing in Fort
Lauderdale., Fla., at the Cruzin Classic sponsored by Trip Sports.
Parsons averaged 28.0 points in the two contests on the way to
scoring her 1,001st career-point. She notched a career-high 32
points in a 104-90 win over Mt. St. Vincent, which marked the
fourth with where R-MC scored at least 100 points this season.
Parsons was 10-of-19 from the field and 9-of-10 from the stripe.
She followed up that performance with 24 points, four assists and
three steals in a loss to TCNJ (84-73). She hit a trio of
three-pointers in both games. For the season, Parsons is second in
the ODAC 21.1 points per game. She's also second in three-point
shooting at 44.4-percent (24-of-54).
