ODAC Players of the Week

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Cameron Smith, Roanoke, Sr., Forward
Smith, a senior from Lexington, N.C., helped the Maroons recover from 16 points down to post a double-overtime victory over Shenandoah and extend their winning streak to seven games as Roanoke sits atop the ODAC standings. Smith exploded for a career-high 30 points, the second-most scored by an ODAC player so far this season. He did it on 13-of-20 shooting from the field and 4-of-5 from the stripe. He scored 12 points in the second half as the Maroons recovered from their first-half deficit, and then scored the tying points to force a second overtime period. He had 10 combined points in the two extra frames towards the win. Smith also chipped in six rebounds, four assists and three steals. He's currently averaging 13.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, and is sixth in the ODAC in field goal shooting (57.1%; 44-of-77).

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Shannon Kuhn, Shenandoah, Fr. Guard
Kuhn, a freshman from East Berlin, Pa., put together a strong week in helping Shenandoah to a 1-1 showing against non-conference competition. She opened with 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field in a 72-62 setback at Gettysburg. She buried 3-of-6 from deep and added a game-best eight rebounds with five coming via the offensive glass. Kuhn then posted a game-high 18 points in the Hornets 52-47 triumph over St. Mary's (Md.). She was 6-of-12 from teh field, hitting two more three-pointers and going 4-of-5 from the foul line. She added five rebounds and a pair of assists. For the season, Kuhn leads Shenandoah at 15.0 points per game, which ranks ninth in the league. Her 46.2-percent (18-of-39) clip from beyond the arc is third in the ODAC.
