ODAC Athletes of the Week | Field Hockey, Soccer, Track & Field, Volleyball

FOREST, Va. --- The ODAC highlight showcase continued on the second day of week 10 reporting with conference student-athletes showing midseason form. Those earning ODAC Athlete of the Week awards include (pictured from top and left): Abbey Pinkerton from W&L women's track & field, Jackie Lerro from Lynchburg field hockey, John Kindig from Shenandoah men's track & field, Paris Hutchinson from Eastern Mennonite volleyball, Evan Blow from Randolph men's soccer, Allison Bobst from LYN women's track & field, James Dixon from W&L men's track & field, and Alyssa Damato from LYN women's soccer.

Below are entries for all eight winners from today's release. Stay tuned for ODAC weekly golf awards on Wednesday.

FIELD HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jackie Lerro | Lynchburg | Sr. | Foward
Lerro, a senior from Royersford, Pa., posted a 10-point week in leading Lynchburg to a pair of ODAC victories to improve to 4-0 on the season, all against league opponents. Lerro, a three-time All-ODAC First Team selection and reigning ODAC Player of the Year, opened with three points in a 3-2 overtime win over Washington and Lee. She scored the game's opening goal and then assisted Aaryn Boatwright on the game-winner just 1:04 into the extra frame. Lerro then poured in three goals with one assist in the Hornets 6-0 road win at Randolph-Macon. She scored the first, third, and fifth goals of the game while providing the helper on Sarah Miller-Richard's tally to close the scoring in the 58th minute. For the season, Lerro leads the ODAC in points (15) and goals scored (6). She is second in assists (3). Lerro moved up to seventh on the Lynchburg all-time career points chart, now boasting 179. She is ninth on the Hornets career assists list with 31.

WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Alyssa Damato | Lynchburg | So. | Forward
Damato, a sophomore from Warrenton, Va., registered a seven-point outing in Lynchburg's lone game last week, a 5-0 triumph over Shenandoah. Damato notched her first collegiate hat trick to go with an assist. She had a hand in the final four goals, scoring the second in the 61st minute, assisting Kelsey Seery on the third in the 73rd minute, and posting the game's final two tallies in the 75th and 76th minutes, respectively. For the season, Damato is third in the ODAC in points (11) and second in goals scored (5). Lynchburg is now 5-1 overall and 4-1 in ODAC play.

MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Evan Blow | Randolph | Sr. | Forward
Blow, a senior from Charlottesville, Va., continues his in-form season with three more goals to help Randolph to a 1-0-1 week against ODAC competition. Blow opened his week with two goals in a 4-3 win over Roanoke. He converted a penalty kick for the game's second goal in the 38th minute and scored the WildCats fourth goal in the 78th minute. That gave Randolph a 4-0 lead and proved most important with Roanoke scoring three times over a six minute span late-on. Blow helped Randolph earn a result at Shenandoah with a 1-1 draw. His goal in the 48th minute knotted the score at 1-all, a scoreline which maintain throughout the final whistle. For the season, Blow leads the ODAC in points (18) and goals scored (9). He has scored at least one goal in all five of the WildCats fixtures.

WOMEN'S OUTDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Alison Bobst | Lynchburg | Fy. | Pole Vault/Hurdles
Bobst, a first-year from Swedesboro, N.J., posted a pair of nationally top-five ranked marks while competing in both track and field events at the Bears Open hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University. Bobst now ranks seventh in NCAA Division III and second in the ODAC in the pole vault after finishing second in the event by clearing 3.35 meters (10-11.75). That mark ranks fifth in Lynchburg history. Bobst also took a turn on the track in the 400-meter hurdles, posting the ODAC's third-fastest time at 1:06.86 to finish second in the event. That mark is fifth in the country.

MEN'S OUTDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
John Kindig | Shenandoah | So. | Throws
Kindig, a sophomore from Spotsylvania, Va., posted a pair of ODAC top marks in the throws after competing at the W&L Carnival Quad hosted by Washington and Lee University. Kindig is now #1 in the conference after winning both the shot put and hammer throw competitions. His winning hammer toss of 45.21 meters (148-4.00) is 18th-best in NCAA Division III. It is also the best hammer throw of his collegiate career. Kindig also won the shot put with a heave of 13.40 meters (43-11.75), which ranks 27th in the country.

WOMEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Abbey Pinkerton | Washington and Lee | Jr. | Mid-Distance
Pinkerton, a junior from Suwanee, Ga., posted a pair of ODAC top times in a pair of mid-distance races at the W&L Carnival Quad over the weekend. Pinkerton, who transferred to Washington and Lee following two seasons at Johns Hopkins University, won both the 800-meter and 1,500-meter runs. Her 800m time of 2:19.93 sits #1 in the ODAC and fourth in NCAA Division III. Her national ranking improved to #2 in the country with an ODAC-best 4:46.43 mark in the 1,500m event. Both times are new personal-bests for Pinkerton. Her 1,500m time is fifth-fastest in Generals program history.

MEN'S OUTDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
James Dixon | Washington and Lee | So. | Mid-Distance
Dixon, a sophomore from Mountain Brook, Ala., put together two strong races at the W&L Carnival Quad hosted by Washington and Lee. Dixon won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.13. That mark is #1 in the ODAC and ranks fifth in NCAA Division III. It is also his best time in the event in his collegiate career. Dixon also joined teammates Ty Powell, Mark Waller, and Zach Moore in winning the 4x400-meter relay in 3:31.65.

VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Paris Hutchinson | Eastern Mennonite | Fy. | Opposite
Hutchinson, a first-year from Waynesboro, Va., put together a strong week in leading Eastern Mennonite to a pair of ODAC wins to level the Royals' record to 2-2. Hutchinson hit .553 over the two matches with 22 kills against just one error. She opened with eight kills and a .438 attack percentage in a 3-0 win at Ferrum. She earned 10.5 points for the match to go along with a pair of aces, seven digs, and a block assist. Hutchinson turned up the production with an error-free 14 kills towards a .636 attack percentage in a 3-0 win over Randolph. She added 15 digs for her first collegiate double-double. She also registered three aces towards 17.0 total points earned at 5.7 per set. For the season, Hutchinson is hitting .337 with 40 kills against seven errors in 98 attacks. Her 4.0 points per set average ranks fourth in the ODAC.
