BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ronnie LaBrie, Lynchburg College
LaBrie, a senior from Vinton, Virginia, helped lead his team to a 3-1 week by slugging 1.167 and hitting .583 in the past four games.  He was successful on all seven of his stolen bases and  he scored 12 times while also driving in six runs.  He also leads the team in home runs after hitting his fourth in a 13-9 win over Tufts on Friday.

BASEBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Bryan Breedlove, Hampden-Sydney College
Breedlove, a sophomore from Suffolk, Virginia, pitched 13.2 innings last week while allowing only one unearned run on eight hits and 11 strikeouts.  He earned a 3-0 complete game victory over No. 21 North Carolina Wesleyan and collected a save in a 7-4 win over Bridgewater.
 

Baseball Honor Roll

Mike Lenox, Bridgewater

Batted 7-for-17 over the course of four games, including two doubles and a home run. 

Cody Davis, Eastern Mennonite

Notched a team-leading six RBIs and 10 hits in 21 trips to plate in six games this week. 

DW Moore, Lynchburg

Worked nine innings where he allowed only seven hits and struck out nine batters.

Greg Meleski, Randolph-Macon

Went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored in a 10-9 win over Roanoke.

Ozz Dhramapitaksook, Va. Wesleyan

Hit 7-for-7 in two wins against EMU and Piedmont where in drove in one run and scored two.

Gary Bulman, Virginia Wesleyan

Broke the VWC rookie record for strikeouts in a game with 12 in a 6-1 victory over Eastern Mennonite.

James Madden, Washington and Lee

Hit a grand slam home run in a 3-1 win over Roanoke that sparked the Generals' comeback.

Clayton Edwards, Wash. and Lee

Picked up his fifth win of the season in a complete-game victory over Roanoke.

MEN'S LACROSSE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Chas Carlson, Roanoke College
March, a junior from Cockeysville, Maryland, lead the team in goals, assists and points for the week.  He netted five goals and had six assists for eleven points in 1-1 week for the Maroons.  He also picked up eight groundballs. 

Men's Lacrosse Honor Roll

Dan Orr, Guilford

Scored a career-high three goals and had one assist in a 12-3 win over Emerson. 

Robert Flintoff, Lynchburg

Came off the bench to score five goals in a 26-0 victory over Hendrix.

Peter LaPaglia Randolph-Macon

Notched four goals in a 7-5 win against Curry College.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Britten Mathews, Washington and Lee University
Mathews, a sophomore from Richmond, Virginia, scored six goals and dished out four assists to help lead the Generals to a 20-3 win over Bridgewater and 12-9 victory against No. 13 Mary Washington. 

Women's Lacrosse Honor Roll

Alyzza-May Callahan, Guilford

Collected a career and game-high 17 saves in the Quakers' 15-11 win over Lynchburg.

Lindsay Gengras, Lynchburg

Posted two goals and one assist while collecting four ground balls against Guilford.

Emily Kent, Randolph-Macon

Scored four goals in the Yellow Jackets' come from behind win over Roanoke.

Bethany Adomanis, Va. Wesleyan

Scored five goals to go with five assists and three ground balls in a 2-0 week for the Marlins.

SOFTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kaitlyn Bowman, Bridgewater College
Bowman, a junior from Dayton, Virginia, batted .518 and had a slugging percentage of 1.029 while notching five home runs and 16 RBIs in a 5-3 week for the Eagles.  Bowman now has 28 home runs in her career and passed the Bridgewater record for all-time home runs by two.

SOFTBALL PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Brittaney Brown, Virginia Wesleyan College
Brown, a sophomore from Chesapeake, Virginia, posted a 2-0 week, improving her season record to 6-2 and her ERA to 2.26.  Brown struck out nine batters in a 3-2 win over Ferrum and struck out another six batters in a 9-2 victory against Guilford. 

Softball Honor Roll

Ashley Gills, Bridgewater

Pitched 25.2 innings and struck out 22 batters in a 2-2 week for the Eagles; won a pair of games.

Robin Phelps, Emory & Henry

Batted .409 in four games while driving in 9 runners and scoring seven times. 

Shannon Harris, Emory & Henry

Pitched two complete games while notching 21 strikeouts.

Kelly Hale, Guilford

Notched seven hits, four runs and three RBIs in eight games.

Taryn Pulvermuller, Guilford

Picked up her first college save by pitching a scoreless seventh inning in a 5-4 win over Swarthmore.

Brittany Allsop, Lynchburg

Batted .600 in two wins for the Hornets while collecting two stolen bases.

Sarah Montgomery, Randolph

Batted .571 on four hits and tallied three RBIs in a double-header victory over Penn State Greater Alleghany.

Hillary Hudgins, Roanoke

Batted .619 on 13 hits while scoring 11 times and driving in seven runners in a 6-0 week for the Maroons.

Kelsey Ruitenberg, Roanoke

Notched 13 strikeouts in a 3-0 week and pitching two complete games.  Also hit .400 with eight hits, including two doubles and a home run.

Paige Smith, Randolph-Macon

Batted .500 for the week including four home runs while scoring eight times and tallying 11 RBIs.

Katie Raulerson, Randolph-Macon

Notched a save in a 8-2 win over Wesley by striking out six batters and allowing only one hit.

Melissa Viar, Sweet Briar

Helped the Vixens go 6-3 this week by batting .565 and by scoring nine times and driving in seven runners.

Megan Franklin, Sweet Briar

Picked up her first career win and her first shutout in a 2-0 win over Mansfield where she allowed only six hits and notched 3 strikeouts. 

Kristy White, Virginia Wesleyan

Scored six times and collected three RBIs while notching eight hits in a 3-1 week for the Marlins.

MEN'S TENNIS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ryan Radke, Bridgewater College
Radke, a junior from Midlothian, Virginia, finished the week 8-0.  He won the #1 singles 6-0, 6-4 and the #1 doubles 8-3 against Randolph-Macon.  Won the #1 doubles 6-0, 6-0  and #1 doubles 8-2 against Randolph College and posted a 6-4, 6-4 win at #1 doubles against N.C. Wesleyan.  The Eagles as a team went 3-0 on the week.

Jose Ortiz, Guilford

Helped The Quakers to a 2-0 week with two wins in #1 singles, where he allowed only two points in four sets, and two wins in #1 doubles. 

WOMEN'S TENNIS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Katie Tabb, Washington and Lee University
Tabb, a junior from Edina, MN, helped the Generals to a 3-0 week with a ODAC wins over Hollins and Roanoke and an out of conference win over No. 9 Denison.  Tabb won three #1 singles matches and three #1 doubles matches. 
 

Women's Tennis Honor Roll

Hillary Teeter, Bridgewater

Went 3-0 at #1 singles, 2-0 at #1 doubles and 1-0 at #2 doubles to help lead the Eagles to a 3-0 week.

Jami Williams, Guilford

Did not lose a single game in her two wins at singles and three wins at doubles.  

Elysia Lopez, Randolph

Against Roanoke she won her #5 singles match 6-1, 6-2 and her #2 doubles match 9-7.

Windsor Tyler, Randolph-Macon

Led Yellow Jackets to a 2-0 week with 6-4, 6-0 #1 singles win and 8-6 #1 doubles win over LC and 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 #1 singles win and 8-2 #1 doubles win over GC.

Megan Crook, Virginia Wesleyan

Led the Marlins to a 1-1 week by posting two #2 singles victories against Salisbury and N.C. Wesleyan and one #1 doubles victory over N.C. Wesleyan.
