Ratner, a junior from Asheville, N.C., collected his first collegiate individual tournament title and led the Quakers to a tie for second place in the team standings in perhaps the most high profile event of the fall season. Ratner posted a 3-under par 213 (72-70-71) to finish atop a field that included most of the top finishers from the 2011 NCAA Division III National Championships last spring, as well as other top-ranked teams. Ratner was the only player to finish under par for the tournament. The Gordin Classic-NCAA Division III Preview was played at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. That venue will serve as the host site of the 2012 NCAA Division III Championships in mid-May.
