Palmer, a sophomore from Kernersville, N.C., kicked off the spring season by leading the Quakers contingent at the Callaway Gardens Intercollegiate.  Palmer placed seventh overall, helping GC to tie for second in the team standings at 593 (293-300).  In a tournament that featured eight teams from the current Bushnell Golfweek Division III Coaches' Poll, Palmer opened with an even-par 72 before posting a three-over 75 to finish at three-over 147.  Guilford is currently ranked 14th in the country.  The Quakers tied fourth-ranked Methodist and beat #2 Oglethorpe in the team standings.
