LIza Freed, Washington and Lee, Jr.

Freed, a junior from Alexandria, Va., helped lead Washington and Lee to an eighth-place finish out of 18 teams at the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational by placing second overall out of the 92 golfers on the 5,931-yard par-72 layout at Baytowne Golf Club in Sandestin, Fla. She posted a 4-over score of 220 after carding rounds of 75, 70, and 75 to finish five strokes behind the individual champion, Jane Hopkinson-Wood of Wittenberg. For the year, Freed carries a 74.14 scoring average across seven rounds and she ranks fourth nationally in the Golfstat DIII rankings.

Herbert did not win for the first time in five starts this season, but still posted a top-five showing at the Golfweek D3 Fall Invitational in Sandestin, Fla. She carded rounds of 77, 73, and 78 on the way to a 12-over 228, 13 strokes behind the eventual champion. Following the event, she was ranked #1 in the country in scoring average (73.4) by Golfstat.
