Ty Palmer, Guilford, Sr.

Palmer, a senior from Kernersville, N.C., picks up his first weekly award of the season after finishing second at the O'Brian-Jensen Memorial hosted by Guilford. Palmer carded rounds of 71 and 67 to finish at 4-under par 138 after 36 holes on the 6,763-yard par-71 track at the Sedgefield Dye Course in Greensboro, N.C. His totals over 36 holes and his second round 67 mark personal season-lows.  His final tally sits as one of the lowest overall scores in the 29-year history of the event.  Palmer's efforts helped Guilford to second among 15 teams at 574 (292-282).  Palmer is currently fifth in the ODAC with a 74.4 average.

Men's Golf Weekly Honor Roll

Luke Hill, Bridgewater (Jr.)
Hill carded rounds of 78 and 73 to finish at 7-over 151 and tied for 10th at the VSGA Intercollegiate Championship. He helped Bridgewater to sixth (620) in the team standings.

Josh Alderfer, Eastern Mennonite (Sr.)
Alderfer placed 16th at the VSGA Intercollegiate Championships with rounds of 77 and 76 for a 9-over 153. His 12 pars helped EMU to 13th in the team standings.

Josh Irby, Lynchburg (Jr.)
Irby tied for 10th at the VSGA Intercollegiate Championships with rounds of 75 and 76 for a 7-over 151. He helped LC to ninth (645) in the team standings.
