Jacob Laughlin, Virginia Wesleyan, So.

Laughlin, a sophomore from McGaheysville, Va., put together a strong showing at the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) Intercollegiate. Laughlin finished in a tie for third at 2-over 144 following two rounds on the par 71 layout set to 6,750 yards at Stonehenge Golf & Country Club in Richmond, Va. He opened with a 1-under 70 before closing at 3-over 74 to tie seven off the pace with Mary Washington's Sebastian Bonte. Laughlin's efforts helped Virginia Wesleyan claim the team title by three strokes over UMW at 24-over 592 (289-303). For the season, Laughlin owns a 76.2 scoring average with this marking his first top-five showing of the season.

Men's Golf Weekly Honor Roll

Ocean Armstrong, BC: Tied for 12th at the VSGA Intercollegiate at 5-over 147 (73-74). He helped BC to fifth (600) in the team standings.

Zachary Evens, GC: Finished 11th overall at 3-over 216 (68-73-75) at the Division III Golfweek Fall Invitational. Guilford placed 12th of 18 teams at 890.

Branson Terrell, LC: Posted his best 36-hole total of the season by tying for sixth at 4-over 146 (72-74) at the VSGA Intercollegiate. Helped LC to sixth (605) in the team standings.

Kirby Struhar, R-MC: Tied for 17th at 6-over 148 (75-73) at the VSGA Intercollegiate. Helped R-MC to a tie for ninth (610) in the team standings.

Evan Diebus, RC: Part of a six-way tie for sixth at 4-over 146 (73-73) at the VSGA Intercollegiate. Roanoke finished 12th (615) as a team.
