Maggie Kingora, Virginia Wesleyan, Jr.

Kingora, a junior from Sterling, Va., picked up a one-stroke victory over Amanda Kelley from Bridgewater at the second Marlins Invitational hosted by Virginia Wesleyan this spring. Kingora fired an 18-over 162 over two rounds on the par 72 track set at 5,800 yards at the Beechwood Country Club in Ahoskie, N.C. She opened with 79, one of only two rounds under 80 in the tournament (the other a 77 by teammate Hannah Turner). Kingora tacked on an 83 in round two to secure the victory. Virginia Wesleyan finished third as a team at +186 762 (394-368).
