Brubaker, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., is the ODAC Women's Golfer of the Week for a fourth time after claiming her second medalist honor in as many starts and third overall of the season at the Historic Triangle Invitational hosted by Christopher Newport University. Brubaker, who has held a tournament trophy five times in her career, won the Bridgewater Invitational to start off the 2021-22 season and then earned medalist honors at the Hill City Invitational three weeks ago. At the Historic Triangle Invitational, Brubaker posted a one-stroke victory over Kayla Diaz from Drew University at 3-over par 147 following two rounds of competition on the par 72 layout set to 5,638 yards at Williamsburg National Golf Club in Williamsburg, Va. She opened with a 1-over 73, which tied with teammate Emily Erickson for low score of the opening round. Brubaker carded a 2-over 74 over the final 18 holes to lead Lynchburg to their third team title of the season. The Hornets, ranked 34th in Division III by Golfstat, finished at 50-over 626 (312-314). Brubaker is ranked 36th in the country by Golfstat, the second-highest national rating in the ODAC. She leads the league with a 75.2 average covering 13 rounds of play.
