Four ODAC Teams Selected for Tournament Play
SALEM, Va. --- Four ODAC schools were selected
to the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament field on
Monday morning, marking the most from the ODAC in any one
basketball national tournament in conference history. Eastern
Mennonite University, Guilford College, Randolph-Macon College and
Virginia Wesleyan College make up the league's contingent in this
year's 61-team field.
Both Eastern Mennonite and Guilford have been selected to host in
the first round, which begins Friday, March 5 and continues through
Saturday, March 6. Each first round site, including the two
locations that VWC and R-MC will be visiting, features four
teams. Three games amongst the first round opponents will
determine the one team advancing to the next round. The
tournament culminates with the 2010 NCAA Division III Championship
Series on Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20 at the Salem
Civic Center in Salem, Va.
Both Guilford and Eastern Mennonite are on the left side of the
bracket, and wouldn't have an opportunity to face each other until
the section al round with a possible spot in Salem on the
line. Virginia Wesleyan and Randolph-Macon are in the same
situation on the right side of the bracket, with a sectional round
meeting the only chance for those two squads to meet. View
the bracket HERE!
Eastern Mennonite (22-4) is making its first appearance in the NCAA
Division III postseason tournament. The Royals' first round
opponent will be Centre College (18-8). The other first round

(23-4) in the other first round contest.
Randolph-Macon (22-6) will be traveling to Pennsylvania to play at
Albright College. The Yellow Jackets will meet Cabrini
College (25-2) in their first round matchup. First round host

Maryland. The Marlins will take on Richard Stockton College
