Fields, a senior from Hampton, Virginia, led Virginia Wesleyan to a 3-0 week, highlighted by a 71-68 victory over No. 4-ranked and previously undefeated Guilford College. Fields scored 59 points in the three games (19.7 ppg. Avg), improving his team-leading scoring average to 19.4 points per game. He hit 20-of-40 field goal attempts in the wins, including five triples, and nailed 14-of-17 free throws, including a season-best 9-of-10 in an overtime win at Newport News Apprentice. Fields also had 11 assists in the three games, including a season-high six against Guilford, and stole the ball five times.
