Ey, a junior from Charlotte, N.C., helped lead Washington and
Lee to a 2-1 week with a pair of double-doubles and nearly a
triple-double in the Generals first three games. W&L
opened the season with a two-point win over Dickinson in which Ey
led the way with 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting. He added 10
rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots. In another
two-point win over reigning NECC champion Elms College, Ey notched
16 points and corralled an ODAC-best 21 rebounds to go with seven
assists and two blocked shots. He capped his week with 10
points, six boards, two assists and a pair of blocked shots in a
loss to fourth-ranked Amherts. For the week, Ey averaged 17.3
points and 12.3 rebounds to go with 3.0 assists and 2.0 blocked
shots.
