Simon, a sophomore from Newport News, Va., helped lead the
Yellow Jackets to a pair of ODAC victories over the past week,
extending Randolph-Macon's winning streak to nine games.
Simon opened the week with a 15-point 9-rebound showing in an
85-74 win over Lynchburg. He also recorded four steals, an
assist and a blocked shot. On Saturday in front of a packed
house against Hampden-Sydney, Simon led all scorers with 18 points
and a game-best eight rebounds. While he only shot 3-of-9
from the field, he canned 12-of-14 foul shouts to help R-MC to an
86-80 win. Simon tacked on four assists and two steals in his
34 minutes of work. For the season, Simon averages 12.2
points and 6.7 rebounds per game.
