MICHAEL STARK, Roanoke College, Senior, Defender

Stark, a senior from Newport News, Va., notched a pair of goals in Roanoke's 3-0 week.  Stark came forward from his defensive position to tally the first goal in a 3-0 triumph against Ferrum to open the season.  Later in the week against Methodist, Stark scored the game-winner to secure the Maroons' 1-0 win.  The goal came with just 25-seconds to play in the second overtime.  The two-time All-American leads Roanoke in goals early with two, and his defense has helped RC hold opponents scoreless through three games.

Men's Soccer Honor Roll

Mitchell Leap, Eastern Mennonite University, Junior, Forward
Leap scored the game-winner in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Frostburg State.  It was the first goal of the 2010 season for the ODAC’s fourth-leading goal scorer of 2009.  The junior took over sole possession of 11th place on the EMU all-time goals scored list with 22. Leap is also tied for 12th in points scored with 51.

Stephen Brooks, Lynchburg College, Junior, Midfielder
Brooks found the back of the new twice Saturday to lead the Lynchburg College men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Gettysburg College in the first game of the University of Mary Washington tournament.

Corey Swindle, Randolph College, Freshman, Midfielder
Swindle enjoyed his first week as a collegiate soccer player, as he scored twice in three games. Sindle scored his first goal of his career Wednesday against Virginia Intermont in a 3-0 win, following that up with a score in a 2-1 loss to Rutgers-Newark Sunday.

Rodrigo Walsh, Randolph-Macon College, Sophomore, Forward
Walsh scored two goals in the Yellow Jackets’ 2-0 win over Marymount on Saturday.
