Brian Cornell, Virginia Wesleyan, Jr., Midfielder

Cornell, a junior from Front Royal, Va., enjoyed his best offensive game as a VWC player, producing a hat trick with three goals in a 4-2 win at Emory & Henry.  He recorded his first tally just 1:31 into the contest, and then made it 2-0 in the 12th minute.  E&H pulled back to within one goal twice at 2-1 and 3-2 before Cornell put the game away with this third score in the 65th minute.  Cornell is the first VWC player to score three goals in a game since 2009 when Clay Price turned the trick at N.C.
