Pugh, a junior from Augusta, Ga., went 2-0 this week in singles and 1-1 in doubles.  In the Tigers’ victory over Guilford on Tuesday, Pugh teamed with William Moss to win their No. 1 doubles match 9-8 (7-3), and he won his No. 2 singles match by a score of 6-0, 6-0.  In Hampden-Sydney’s loss at #14 Salisbury on Friday, Pugh was the lone bright spot for the Tigers, winning his singles match 7-6 (7-1), 6-3, while dropping his doubles match 9-7 to the regionally fifth-ranked Seagulls.

Jody Cox, Guilford, Freshman, #5 Sinlges/#3 Doubles
Cox won three of four matches last week in the Quakers’ 0-2 week… pulled out a three-set win a sixth singles to score Guilford’s lone point against Hampden-Sydney… won twice at Averett with a straight-set triumph at fifth singles and an 8-0 third-doubles win with Ben Nelson.

Kevin Lloyd, Randolph-Macon, Junior, #2 Singles/#1 Doubles
Lloyd won in straight sets over Aaron Humphreys of Randolph College 6-2, 6-4. In doubles action, Lloyd and his partner Frank Donnelly won 8-2 in a matchup of number one doubles teams.
