Graham Wilson, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr., #1 Singles, #1 Doubles

Wilson, a senior from Newport News, Va., put together a solid week as Virginia Wesleyan squared off with four regionally or nationally-ranked programs amongst its five spring break matches.  Wilson went 3-2 at #1 singles, highlighted by a 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 triumph over the ITA Central Region's 19th ranked player, Michael Treis from nationally 16th-ranked UW-Whitewater.  Wilson picked up his second win against central regional #11 Oberlin, topping Michael Douglas 2-6, 6-2, 6-3.  Following a loss to central region #10 Carleton's #1 player, Wilson picked up a 2-6, 6-1, 10-3 triumph over Joey Kronzer from St. Olaf College, helping the Marlins to an 8-1 victory. Wilson also squared off with nationally 50th-ranked Thomas Manning from central region #15 Allegheny College, falling to AC's #1 (7-6, 6-2).  Wilson and doubles teammate Adam Rosemblaum picked up a win at #1 doubles against Carleton, posting an 8-4 triumph over Christian Nagy and Jordon O'Kelly.

Men's Tennis Honor Roll

John Dalton Ferguson, Emory & Henry (Jr. - 1/1)
Ferguson went 3-3 overall for the week, picking up a pair of singles wins from the top flight.  He earned a 6-3, 6-7, 12-10 triumph over Shenandoah before topping Lynchburg 6-0, 6-0.  He and teammate Luke Funkhouser grabbed a win versus LC at #1 doubles via an 8-2 decision.

Bradley Strober, Randolph (So. - 1/1-2)
Strober went 3-1 last week, earning a pair of #1 singles victories.  He topped Roanoke's #1 player, 6-4, 6-4, and then helped the WildCats to a 9-0 team win over Emory & Henry with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph.  He and partner Doug Corbett won 8-6 over E&H.

Tom Lewis, Randolph-Macon (Sr. - 2/2)
Lewis went 4-0 at #2 singles and doubles last week.  He posted 6-1, 6-0 and 6-2, 6-3 singles victories over Lynchburg and Shenandoah, helping R-MC to a pair of 9-0 team victories.  He and partner Alex Curnow posted 8-4 and 8-2 doubles victories.

Joey Ross, Roanoke College (Jr. - 2/2)
Ross helped Roanoke to victories over Hampden-Sydney (8-1) and Randolph (5-4) last week as he went 4-0 at #2 singles and doubles. He registered 6-0, 6-2 and 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 singles triumphs, respectively, and then teamed with Holden Branham for 8-2 and 8-5 doubles wins.
