Tori Higginbotham, Virginia Wesleyan, Sr., Outfielder

Higginbotham, a senior from Glen Allen, Va., put together strong week in leading Virginia Wesleyan to a 6-0 record.  She went 12-for-20 at the dish with three doubles, a homer and 10 runs batted in.  She also scored 11 times and stole 10 bases without being caught.  She had at least one hit in each game, including a pair of 3-for-4 efforts with a homer, seven RBI, five runs scored and five stolen bases in a doubleheader sweep (8-3, 14-0) of Eastern Mennonite.  For the season, Higginbotham is sixth in the ODAC with a .425 batting average.  She leads the league in triples, is second in stolen bases (24) and third in RBI (34).

Softball Player Honor Roll

Taylor Doss, Emory & Henry (So., 1B - Damascus, Va.)
Doss led E&H to a 3-1 week and right in the thick of the action as the tournament approaches.  She went 7-for-13 from the dish with a double, triple and six RBI.  She went 4-for-4 with four RBI in a 10-8 win at Shenandoah, which setup a doubleheader sweep of the Hornets.

Cynthia Hayes, Guilford (Sr., IF - Seagrove, N.C.)
Hayes hit .476 (10-for-21) last week with four two-hit games in the Quakers1-5 week.  She scored five runs and drove in three more.  Her on-base streak stands at 34 straight games, while her new hitting streak has already reached 10 consecutive contests.

Jessi Hall, Lynchburg (Jr., OF - Floyd, Va.)
Hall went 7-for-18 (.389) with three walks and five stolen bases in the Hornets' 5-1 week.  She scored four runs, including a pair with a RBI in an 8-0 win over Guilford in the first game of a doubleheader sweep of the Quakers. 

Hunter Glave, Randolph (Fr., 1B - Ashland, Va.)
Glave batted .500 (7-for-14) with a double, two homers and 11 RBI in the WildCats' 4-0 week.  She also scored eight runs and walked three times towards a .556 OBP.  Her second homer of the week was a two-run shot in game one against Roanoke.  It sent the game into extra innings, with Randolph eventually winning, 12-11.

Sharese Jarvis, Randolph-Macon (Jr., SS - Cobbs Creek, Va.)
Jarvis went 11-for-21 (.524) with a double, a homer, eight RBI and eight runs scored in R-MC's 3-3 week.  She had three hits in two separate games, including a 3-for-4 showing with a homer and two RBI in a 6-5 loss to EMU.  She also stole five bases on the week.
