Kandis Kresinske, Virginia Wesleyan, Fr., Pitcher

Kresinske, a freshman from Chesapeake, Va., picks up her second weekly award of the season after going 2-0 in two ODAC starts last week.  She opened with four innings in a 9-0 five-inning victory over Eastern Mennonite.  She gave up just one hit and didn't walk a batter.  She struck out three Royals.  Kresinske followed that with a complete-game three-hit shutout of Lynchburg, 3-0.  In addition to the three hits, she allowed three free passes and fanned four in her seven innings of work.  For the season, Kresinske is 7-1 with a 0.96 earned run average in 43.2 innings of work. He wins rank third in the ODAC, while her ERA sits second. Opposing hitters are batting just .192 against her.

Sydney Reath, Eastern Mennonite (Fr.)
Reath went 2-1 in three appearances last week.  She got her first win in an 8-0 triumph over Mary Baldwin. She worked all five frames of the shortened outing, give up two hits with two walks and fanning five.  Her other victory came in relief as she worked 4.2 innings in a 9-8 triumph at Mary Washington. Her loss came to Virginia Wesleyan, where she worked 3.0 innings and gave up eight runs (one earned) o n10 hits in a 9-0 setback.

Casey Snead, Guilford (Sr.)
Snead went 1-1 last week in working 8.1 total frames.  She was tagged with the loss in a 5-4 decision at Roanoke, giving up one run on two hits in 1.1 innings of relief.  She came back with seven-inning complete-game shutout of Randolph, 3-0.  She gave up just one hit while walking one and fanning four.

Whittemore picked up two more wins last week to give her nine on the season, tying for tops in the ODAC. She worked a complete seven innings in a 3-1 victory at Mary Washington. He gave up one run on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts.  She followed that up with a complete-game 8-0 shutout over Shenandoah in five innings. She surrendered just one hit while walking four and fanning nine.

Courtney Oliver, Roanoke (Fr.)
Oliver made four relief appearances for the Maroons, not figuring in the decision in any contest. She worked two scoreless innings in RC's 6-5 loss to CNU, and again worked two shutout frames in a 2-0 loss at Ferrum. She gave up one run in two innings in the circle against Guilford, and finished with 3.1 innings of work against #2 Emory. She gave up four runs on seven hits in that out. She struck out five batters on the week.
