Amy Bresson, Lynchburg, Sr., Outfielder

Bresson, a senior from Laurel, Md., hit .500 in the Hornets 5-1 week that included a 3-1 showing against ODAC foes. Bresson had a breakout performance as she went 9-for-18 overall with a double, the first four homers of her season, 15 runs batted in and eight runs scored. She was 3-for-5 in a sweep at Ferrum, hitting a pair of homers and driving in three runs in game two (13-6). She was 3-for-6 in a sweep of Emory & Henry. She hit the first of her two grand slams in game one (9-1) against the Wasps. Bresson's second bag-clearing bomb came in a 14-5 game two win of a split at Guilford. He was 3-for-4 in the game with a double to go with the grand slam and six RBI.  For the season, Bresson is hitting .306 with 16 RBI. She owns a .592 slugging percentage.

Softball Player Honor Roll

Carli Hill, Eastern Mennonite (So. - C)
Hill went 8-for-15 in the Royals 3-1 week.  She was 3-for-7 with a double and two RBI in a sweep at Bridgewater (5-2 and 7-0). She went 4-for-4 in game one of a split (7-3 and 5-8) against Roanoke. She her third homer of the season and drove in two more runs. She had a double and RBI in game two.

Caroline Barnette, Guilford (Jr. - IF)
Barnette went 4-for-10 in the Quakers 1-3 week. She had a homer and three RBI in a 5-2 win over Lynchburg.  She had two hits in the first game (11-2) in a loss to crosstown rival Greensboro.

Rebecca Mongtomery, Randolph (So. - C/3B)
Montgomery went 3-for-5 in a sweep of Mary Baldwin. She hit a homer in each game, including a grand slam in game two (8-0) in which she tied the Randolph single-game record with six RBI.

Harley Jones, Randolph-Macon (So. - 1B)
Jones went 5-for-13 with a double, two homers, four RBI and three runs scored in the Yellow Jackets 2-2 week. Both homers came in a split (5-6 and 5-1) at Roanoke.  She had three RBI in game on and went 2-for-3 with two runs scored in game two.

Katie Smith, Roanoke (So. - OF)
Smith went 11-for-16 with a double, homer, eight RBI and seven runs scored in  Maroons 4-2 week. She also walked seven times, pushing her OBP to .783 for the week. She was 2-for-3 with a homer and four RBI in an 8-3 win at Emory & Henry. She went 6-for-6 in a split (6-5, 1-5) against Randolph-Macon, going 4-for-4 in game one and 2-for-2 in game two with a double. She had a RBI in both games.

Cassetty Howerin, Virginia Wesleyan (So. - 1B)
Howering went 10-for-15 and walked seven times towards a .773 OBP in the Marlins 5-1 week. She had three hits in a game two in (3-2) over Randolph-Macon. She went 3-for-3 with a double in a 6-0 triumph over Bridgewater. VWC earns sweeps of BC (9-0 and 6-0) and Shenandoah (9-0 and 11-0) while splitting with R-MC (1-2 and 3-2).
