Hanna Hull, Virginia Wesleyan, Fr., Pitcher

Hull, a freshman Chesterfield, Pa., was a strikeout machine in picking up two victories last week. Hull went the distance in shutting out N.C. Wesleyan, 5-0, and set a new school record with 18 strikeouts. She gave up just two hits and did not walk a Battling Bishop. Hull picked up her second win in a 9-1 triumph at Meredith. In six full frames, she gave up one unearned run on three hits with two walks and 12 punchouts to give her 30 strikeouts in 13 innings for the week. On the season, Hull is 3-0 with an ODAC-best 0.00 ERA as she has not yet allowed an earned run in 18.0 innings of work. She has also only surrendered seven hits, good for a conference low .117 batting average against. Her 39 strikeouts also lead the league.

Emily Kendrick, Emory & Henry (Jr.)
Kendrick worked 6.0 innings and surrendered just four hits in shutting out Methodist, 9-0. She anned seven batters without a walk.

Danielle Hunt, Guilford (Fr. )
Hunt won twice last week, picking up her first win after giving up just two hits with a strikeout in five innings of a shortened 8-0 win over William Peace. She then went the distance a second time, this time giving up four runs on five hits with two walks and 13 strikeouts in 7.0 innings towards a 12-4 win at Mary Baldwin. The 13 K's are third-most in school history and the most for a Quakers' pitcher since 2013.

Stephanie Hogan, Lynchburg (Fr.)
Hogan came on in relief and three 5.0 shutout frames in a 3-2 loss to Mary Washington. She gave up one hit and two walks while fanning five. She also did well at the dish, going 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in a 13-3 win in game two against UMW.

Candace Whittemore, Randolph-Macon (So.)
Whittemore appeared three times in the Yellow Jackets' opening weekend, picking up two wins and a save. She worked a complete 7.0 frames in a 3-2 win over Frostburg State, giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits with three walks and eight strikeouts. She came back in game two to get the save, working 2.0 innings and giving up one run on one hit with two walk and two strikeouts in a 5-4 victory. She then started and got the win with a second complete game effort in a 4-3 decision over TCNJ. She gave up three runs (one earned) on eight hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.
