Madison Glaubke, Virginia Wesleyan, So., Outfielder

Glaubke, a sophomore from Virginia Beach, Va., registered at least one hit in each of six Virginia Wesleyan victories last week, extending her hitting streak to 12 straight games and furthering the nationally top-ranked Marlins unbeaten run to 26-0 this season and 32-0 dating back to last season. Glaubke went 9-for-19 with two doubles, a triple, homer, five runs driven in, six runs scored, and three walks to help her to a .474/.545/.842 slash line. She was 2-for-5 with two doubles, three RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base in a 12-9 victory in game two of a sweep of DePauw. She was 4-for-6 with a homer, two RBI, three runs scored, and a walk in a pair of 8-0 victories over Eastern Mennonite. She capped her week going 3-for-5 with two walks and a run scored in 1-0 and 3-1 wins at Roanoke. For the season, Glaubke is hitting .387 (29-for-75) with six doubles, three homers, and 21 RBI. She is second in the league in walks (18), fourth in runs scored (28), and sixth in on-base percentage (.500).

Softball Player of the Week Honor Roll

Mariah Wharton, BC: went 5-for-5 with three runs scored and a RBI in a sweep of Frostburg State, 4-1 and 11-5.

Madison McClanahan, E&H: went 4-for-6 with a homer and four RBI in a sweep of Shenandoah. Went 3-for-3, drove in all four runs, and homered in a 10-0 win in game one.

Makayla Carver, GC: went 7-for-14 with two doubles, a homer, three RBI, and three runs scored in a 1-3 week for Guilford. Went 6-for-8 with with three RBI and three runs scored in a split (3-5, 7-3) at Covenant. Homered in game two and doubled in both.

Kayla Hugate, LC: hit safely in 5-of-6 games played, helping LC go 3-3 by hitting 10-for-20 with six RBI, three runs scored, and two walks. Was 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored in a 16-5 win at Randolph.

Sami Davidson, R-MC: went 5-for-14 in a 3-1 week for nationally fourth-ranked R-MC, registering four extra-base hits with three doubles and a homer. She drove in three runs each in a split with Lynchburg (5-6, 7-0). Doubled twice in game one and once in game two. Homered in a 4-1 victory over Mary Washington. Swept the Eagles 10-0 and 4-1.

Ruthie Williams, RC: went 6-for-11 with two RBI in a 2-2 week for the Maroons. Went 2-for-2 with a RBI in a 3-1 win in game one of a sweep (2-0 in game) of Guilford. Went 2-for-3 and drove in RC's run in a 3-1 loss in game two against VWU.
