Carrie Crowther, Bridgewater, Jr.

Crowther, a junior from Burgess, Va., helped guide the Eagles to a 1-1 showing in their first meets of 2013.  On Friday evening, Crowther won two individual events and swam the anchor leg of Bridgewater's victorious 200-yard medley relay squad in a 166-36 dual-meet win over Hollins. She topped the field in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.36 and corralled the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.65 seconds. On Saturday at Washington and Lee, Crowther started the day with a runner-up finish in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.88 seconds. She followed up with a victory in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 55.98 seconds to post just the second individual event victory ever for Bridgewater against the Generals. Finally, Crowther swam the third leg on Bridgewater's runner-up 400-yard freestyle relay, which posted a time of 3:51.82.

Swimming Honor Roll

Emily Clary, Randolph-Macon - (So., Nofolk, Va.)
Clary took first-place in the 200 freestyle as the Yellow Jackets fell to home standing Marymount on Saturday afternoon. Clary posted a time of 2:04.53 in the event.

Lydia Fleck, Sweet Briar - (Poquoson, Va.)
Fleck helped the Vixens to a double-dual sweep of Greensboro (53-42) and Ferrum (70-25) by winning a pair of events.  She claimed top prize in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:05.67) and 500-yard freestyle (5:53.70).  She also swam the anchor leg of the second-place 200-yard freestyle relay team (1:52.12).

Lauren Kasoff, Washington and Lee - (Jr., Owings Mills, Md.)
Kasoff helped lead the Generals to a 115-84 win over Bridgewater on Saturday with two individual wins.  She placed first in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.65) and the the 100-yard backstroke (1:03.37).
