Payton Shirey, Emory & Henry, Freshman

Shirey, a freshman from Seaford, Del., picks up her second weekly award of the season as she rattled off three individual event victories and helped the Wasps to a relay win as Emory & Henry won a quad meet against Warren Wilson, Lagrange and Greensboro.  Shirey claimed top prize in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.00, and followed that with a 56.74 time to win the 100-yard freestyle.  Her third win came in the 50-yard butterfly via a time of 27.84.  Shirey swam the lead leg of the E&H's 200-yard freestyle relay team that chimed in at 1:47.02.  The Wasps finish the regular season with a 9-1 overall dual meet record and a 5-1 mark against ODAC teams.

Swimming Honor Roll

Emily Clary, Randolph-Macon College - (So., - Norfolk, VA)
Clary took first-place in the 1000-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle as the Yellow Jackets fell to home standing Catholic University on Saturday afternoon. Clary was the first to touch the wall in the 1000 free with a time of 11:09.73, forty seconds ahead of second place. Clary took home a first place finish in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:29.65. She was also the second leg of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that claimed first place in a time of 3:53.31, fourteen seconds ahead of second place. Clary also finished second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 27.32.

Stephanie Foster, Washington and Lee University - (Fr., - Columbia, Md.)
Foster three event victories in the Generals double-dual triumphs over Ferrum (74-21) and VMI (69-37).  Among Foster's first place finishes were a pair of individual victories as the claimed top prize in the 50-yard freesytle with a time of a 26.76 and the 200-yard backstroke in 2:19.20.  She went on to swim a leg of W&L's winning 200-yard medley relay team, which posted a time of 1:54.29.
